Comprehensive Care

At Skye Family Dental, patients love the convenience of having friendly, high-quality care for all of their comprehensive dentistry needs in one professional office. Whether you need a regular check-up for your annual preventative care or extraction and follow-up, we’ve got you covered.

Preventative Dentistry

The best dental care is preventative. Fixing the problem before it occurs is the smartest way to take control of your oral health. With this in mind, Skye Dental offers a variety of preventative health treatments.

  • Our office provides fluoride varnish to strengthen your teeth. The application of varnishes regularly, typically twice a year, prevents and reduces tooth decay damage.
  • Sealants are another preventative measure to avoid damage from decay-causing bacteria. Bacteria can accumulate in deep grooves and begin the decay process. Sealants
placed in the deep grooves can prevent build-up of cavity-causing bacteria.
  • Mouthguards, including night guards and sports guards protect your teeth when you need it most. Chronic teeth grinding can cause cracks, muscle pain, and damage to your jaw joint. A sports guard is an easy way to help prevent sports-related mouth injuries.

Oral Cancer Screening

During your regularly scheduled examination, a thorough oral cancer screening will be performed. This allows for early detection of any abnormalities of the oral tissues.

Gum Disease Treatment

Gum disease is a common condition in which chronic inflammation can lead to tissue recession and bone loss. By scheduling regular appointments, the dental team can ensure that your gum health is maintained.

Skye Family Dental provides therapy ranging from standard cleanings to deep cleanings for patients with gum disease. Your needs will be assessed at each
check-up.

Fillings

If you need a filling, you’re not alone! Placement of composite fillings is one of the most common dental procedures performed. These fillings are mercury-free, tooth-colored material that are used to restore tooth structure lost to decay.

Crowns

Crowns are used to restore teeth that are broken, cracked, or have lost too much structure to be restored by a filling. A crown will protect the restored tooth from further damage and allow for normal function of that tooth again.

Bridges

A bridge can be used to replace a tooth that was lost, anchoring to teeth adjacent to the empty space. They are a great option when the adjacent teeth have also suffered damage or extensive decay.

Implant Crowns

Sometimes an implant is a great option for replacing a missing tooth. After an implant has been placed in the bone and has healed, an implant crown can be fitted on top to replace the missing tooth and restore its form and function.

Oral Surgery

At Skye Family Dental, your oral surgery needs can be taken care of, including extractions and bone grafting.

Dentures

Along with conventional dentures, immediate dentures and dentures supported by implants are options for replacement of numerous missing teeth. When only a few teeth are missing, a partial denture may be a good option for you.
